What you'll learn

What does it mean to have church online? Are we really present? What are the implications of the digital for ethics, mission and ministry? Perhaps you are enthusiastic, or anxious, or just intrigued about how the issues of life in the 21st century impact the Christian life.

This module is an opportunity to dive deeply into the theology of the digital, what it is and what it means, and to consider the implications for life and ministry today. We will be looking at Artificial Intelligence, transhumanism, social media, and sexual ethics.

There are readings and video lectures with a 1 hour live seminar each week. These seminars will expect preparation and contribution from students of about 4-5 hours each week.

Key Dates

The weekly seminars are held on Mondays from 9.05am - 9.55am from September 15 - December 15 (breaks 27 Oct, 24 Nov).
